Falcons vs. Packers: Channel, announcers, schedule, odds and more for Week 14

The 4-8 Falcons versus the 4-7-1 Packers in a battle of two very disappointing teams. ONLY ON FOX!

The Falcons are now in territory they haven’t experienced since that “magical” 2013-2015 stretch, when they were a losing or .500 football team for three consecutive seasons. They’re injured, they’re dispirited, and they’re just not very good, all of which is extremely unwelcome after a Super Bowl berth and Divisional Round game in back-to-back years.

The Packers are in similar territory. They had Mike McCarthy as their head coach for nearly 13 years, enjoying stability and a lot of winning, including a single Super Bowl victory, over those years. This year they’re just plain bad in an NFC North where the Bears are rising, the Vikings are still pretty good, and the Lions are the Lions. When these teams meet up, there’s very little at stake but pride.

But pride means something to football teams—at least, it should—and the Packers in particular will probably be keen to show that McCarthy’s firing made a difference. This might be a fun game despite the odds against it, but let’s be honest: You’re watching to see if the Falcons get back on track, whether they can preserve their spot in the draft order, and for Ty Sambrailo. Let’s figure out how you’ll do that.

Atlanta Falcons vs. Green Bay Packers Week 14

Time: Sunday, December 9, 1 p.m. EST

Location: Lambeau Field, Green Bay, Wisconsin

TV Channel: FOX

Announcers: Kevin Burkhardt, Charles Davis, Pam Oliver

Radio: 92.9 The Game

Odds: The Packers are favored by four-plus points at the moment

Prediction: Falcons lose, 28-20

Key Questions: Can the Falcons get their offense going, allowing them to actually win a football game? Will Zane Beadles and Ty Sambrailo start on the right side of the line, and will that actually lead to better outcomes? Can the defense knock Aaron Rodgers off his game, which is easier than it would be in most years, given the way he’s playing?
