Falcons up 26-7 against the Cardinals: second half open thread

A team that needed to show us more, showed us more.

This game started out poorly, with the Falcons offensive and defensive units looking like zombies on the field. The defense let David Johnson and the Cardinals move the ball effortlessly to take an early 7-0 lead. However, a Deion Jones pick-6 seemed to wake this team from their long slumber as they rattled off 26 unanswered points against the woeful Arizona Cardinals.

For those in the “Falcons need to tank” camp, this result is likely not being met with enthusiasm. For fans who just wanted to see this team show some life, they’re finally delivering after five grueling losses.

Guys like Grady Jarrett, Brian Poole, Takk McKinley, Deion Jones and Bruce Irvin have all stood out for great plays. On offense, Matt Ryan, Tevin Coleman, Ito Smith and Julio Jones have carried the weight so far.
