You’re almost there. Three weeks and this will all be over — until next year. There’s hope on the horizon in the form of a top draft pick, but I know that won’t quite comfort you in these dire times. It’s not much, but the best I can offer you are Falcoholinks for a Friday.
Getting Takk on Track
Looking to build on a promising rookie campaign, Takkarist McKinley started off strong, but has been mired in a sophomore slump ever since. The talent is obviously there, but he’s been unable to convert his speed and aggression into consistent production. Jason Butt from The Athletic writes about how the Falcons are seeking more focus from Takk McKinley, and the ways that can positively impact the defense going forward.
Falcons hope to correct their lack of focus, which has plagued them throughout the year, over this final three-game stretch. https://t.co/iJuVfhceoj

Potential Sark replacements
With the weekly wilting of the Atlanta Falcons’ offense, it’s seeming likely that the team will choose to move on from Steve Sarkisian once the season concludes. Gary Kubiak could be an outside possibility if he decides to return to the game, but should that not come to fruition, Cory Woodroof has a list of potential replacements who run Shanahan-similar schemes (including the elder Shanahan himself).
Survival 101
I’ve been playing far too much Red Dead Redemption 2, and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t busy tracking a legendary bull gator while the Falcons were getting pasted by the Packers last Sunday. Dude ate me three times but with a bit of help from my trusty Rolling Block Rifle I was soon walkin’ around Saint Denis in some albino gator skin boots. The locals were impressed.
You’ve gotta channel your inner Arthur Morgan to survive these next three weeks, and that starts with even having a desire to. Jeanna Thomas is out with a helpful list for making it through, and some tips to keep in mind when you’re wondering why you’re still watching. If that doesn’t work, DW has some drinks for you.
GIF of the Week
We’re all massive fans of Allen Strk’s weekly GIF reviews, and for his new feature he’ll be elaborating on one standout from the week. To kick it off he’s breaking down Foyesade Oluokun’s phenomenal play against Jimmy Graham to prevent a touchdown. It’s standard, on-point Allen X’s & O’s evaluation, so be sure to give this one a look.
