Deion Jones was supposed to be back when he was activated ahead of the Cowboys game, or at the very least for the Saints game. The fact that he was still activated suggests that the team felt he was close, but he couldn’t suit up, and the Falcons were worse off for that.
With the season more or less toast, the Falcons could certainly just shelf Jones. But if he’s ready to play they’ll elect not to—I don’t think Debo would like that outcome—and all indications are that it will happen at some point in the coming weeks. Perhaps even this week against the Ravens, where a healthy Jones would be a huge help against Lamar Jackson, if he is indeed the starting quarterback for Baltimore.
Dan Quinn says today was "an excellent day" for Deion Jones. Said he had a play where he thought, "That's Deion." #Falcons

This team has burned us so many times with injury news and updates in 2018, so I’m not going to get my hopes up. But if the rest of this season is lost, it would at least be fun to have Debo back and flying around the rest of the way, just so we can remember what that was like to have him out there before 2019.
