The Atlanta Falcons keep putting their season on the brink, and it’s extremely on the brink at the moment. To stay alive, which they are at least nominally with the NFC being as jumbled as it is, they need to win most every game the rest of the way. To be safe, they probably need to win every game.

The obstacle this week is a Dallas Cowboys team that is in the process of trying to pull its season from the brink, too. They just dispatched the Eagles and have at least a puncher’s chance of taking out Atlanta, since they’ve upgraded their defense and can absolutely run through the Falcons with Ezekiel Elliott. Atlanta’s chief advantages are that they’re home, should be able to score plenty against this Dallas team regardless of said improvements, and may have Deion Jones back. They also shouldn’t lack for motivation, cough cough.

Here’s what you need to know for the game ahead.
