The Falcons return home after spending the last two weeks on the road, with one triumph and one utter failure in that road swing. Atlanta is now 4-5 and buried back with a bunch of other quasi-contenders, just outside the top six in the playoff picture.
One of those teams is the Cowboys, who are coming to town this weekend. Dallas looked like it might can longtime coach Jason Garrett two weeks ago, but then the Cowboys put together a solid effort and defeated the Eagles on Sunday Night Football, putting them back in the thick of the race in a weak NFC East.
Against Atlanta, Dallas has an obvious blueprint: Run the ball with Ezekiel Elliott, try to keep the Falcons in front of them, and grind out a win. It worked extremely well for the Browns just a week ago and not so well for Washington the week before that, so we’ll have to hope for Atlanta’s sake that a return to Mercedes-Benz Stadium will be what this team needs to right the ship. As will be the case the rest of the way, don’t take Dallas lightly, and hope this team doesn’t either.
Here’s what you’ll need to know to watch this game.

Key Questions: Can the Falcons get back on track and stop the run against Dallas and Ezekiel Elliott? Will the Falcons get back to their explosive ways and not dink and dunk their way downfield endlessly against the Cowboys defense? Will they actually get a sack this week?
