We’ve been closely monitoring the health of Devonta Freeman and Grady Jarrett this week, as the Atlanta Falcons need a win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to even keep playoff hopes alive. Dan Quinn has been vague but optimistic about, well, every injury this season, so we were hoping these would not be big deals.
Per Jason Butt of The Athletic, these injuries are probably big deals.
Don’t see Devonta Freeman or Grady Jarrett out here at practice today.

Both players have been out during practice on Wednesday and Thursday. If they were to play, they would probably need to elevate to a limited practice. If Butt did not see them on the field at all, it’s likely they will both be labeled out.
This puts both players’ odds of playing in just under two days at almost zero. Stay tuned for their official designation, but don’t get your hopes too high.
Update: Unsurprisingly, both players have been ruled out for Sunday’s game. The injury report was certainly going to report both as out of practice today. It appears neither player got anywhere close to playing, putting next week’s availability into question.
Dan Quinn says Devonta Freeman and Grady Jarrett will be out Sunday vs the Bucs. #Falcons
