The Atlanta Falcons desperately need to bounce back to full strength, but it’s not happening yet with Devonta Freeman and Grady Jarrett. Dan Quinn has been pretty optimistic with both players, but neither player practiced for the second day in a row.

This does not bode well for their chances of suiting up Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. As we’ve noted this week, Steve Sarkisian miraculously scores nearly two touchdowns more per game when Freeman is out. It’s a small sample size, but something to look at this weekend.
We thought the defense couldn’t look much worse without Jarrett, but Sunday’s loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers proved us very, very wrong.
With neither player apparently trending in the right direction fast enough, it’s feeling unlikely either suits up.
