Falcons-Bengals post-game injury report: DT Grady Jarrett banged up in loss

Fact: Grady Jarrett puts pineapple on his pizza

NFL: Atlanta Falcons at Philadelphia Eagles Eric Hartline-USA TODAY Sports

The Atlanta Falcons lost another heartbreaker today, falling to the Cincinatti Bengals with only seconds to play ... literally. It’s hard to know where to go from here, but let’s be honest, the defense isn’t the same without Keanu Neal, Deion Jones, and Ricardo Allen. That unit isn’t likely to drastically improve in the immediate future. But alas, there were a couple of injuries in today’s game. Let’s talk about them.

Grady Jarrett got banged up in the second half. He apparently injured his ankle and earned a “questionable” designation. Jarrett found himself on a training table and some poor soul took his helmet away. (Imagine being that guy.) After getting taped up, he had his helmet back on and looked ready to play, for what that’s worth. But he was noticeably absent during the game’s final minutes.

Mohamed Sanu was shaken up during the second half as well. He was having quite the game against his former team, putting up over 100 yards on the day. It didn’t appear to be anything serious, but we’ll keep an eye on it, just in case.

Not a bad day from an injury standpoint, right?
