Wild Card Sunday open thread for Panthers-Saints and Bills-Jaguars

Saints vs. Panthers is today’s highlight.

NFL: Carolina Panthers at New Orleans Saints Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sports

Today brings us a fresh set of Wild Card games. One of them should be entertaining and pits two long-suffering teams against one another, and the other involves two of the Falcons’ division rivals. Both will be worth watching.

Of course, Panthers-Saints is the primary attraction for us. Either way, a team we don’t like is going to lose, but for multiple reasons I’m going to root for the Panthers. The Saints are the most dangerous team, they match up better against the Falcons should that matchup come down the line, and I genuinely cannot stand the thought of this insufferable team and its braggy fanbase getting back into the Super Bowl this year. Go Carolina.

On the other side, I don’t have a strong preference, but I hope whichever team wins this runs all the way to the Super Bowl in the AFC. I’d like to see some new blood.

Use this as today’s open thread.
