Falcons declare that everyone is healthy and ready to go versus the Rams

It’s great news for the team in an obvious do-or-die playoff situation.

The Falcons will have to head into Saturday night’s game against the Rams down Andy Levitre, which could certainly become a factor for the game with Aaron Donald lurking. Despite a long list of injured players, however, the Falcons say no one is in danger of missing the game besides Levitre, who was recently placed on injured reserve.

That’s excellent news, because the Falcons need to be at full strength to triumph on the road in Los Angeles. They’ll have their full complement of receivers, their returner, and their many talented defensive players, and that will give them a better-than-fighting chance against the Rams.

It’s all hands on deck, and you should expect the Falcons to make extensive use of Devonta Freeman and Julio Jones, who were both listed on the injury report earlier this week, as they try to get past a solid defense. Both will be particularly critical in reversing the team’s recent red zone woes—actually, that’s arguably a year-long issue—because they’re two of the most dynamic players the Falcons have.

The status of everyone on defense was never really in doubt, but they’re equally critical. This is the first time I can remember where the Falcons haven’t had a single soul listed as questionable on their injury report, and health genuinely matters this late in the year.
