My Introduction to The Falcoholic

It’s an honor and a privilege for me to be joining The Falcoholic community.

I’ve always been told that the key to a good first impression is to start off with a joke, so I’ll give it a try right now: Cam Newton’s completion percentage.

I’m Adnan Ikic, and I’ve been brought on to be a new writer for The Falcoholic. It’s an incredible honor for me to become a part of this team, and I’m extremely grateful to those who trusted me with this position. I’ll do my best to not let anyone down.

If you think the name Adnan sounds foreign then you’d be correct. My family and I moved to the United States from Bosnia when I was 3-years-old, and we’ve lived in Georgia ever since. I’m currently a 21-year-old student at Georgia State University, by the way.

Like many of you, I live and breathe Atlanta Falcons Football, and am a huge supporter of all Atlanta sports. I’ve stuck with this city’s sports teams through the good and the bad (and there has been a lot of bad over the years). In fact, if you ever go to an Atlanta Hawks game you can catch me leading the team’s fan section, cheering on the team through this tumultuous basketball season.

The Atlanta blood runs deep, and I dream of the day when we all celebrate a championship with a parade on Peachtree Street.

I’ve been working on my craft, covering the Falcons, at Fansided the past few years, and was absolutely delighted when an opportunity to join the SBNation community arose. It was just something I couldn’t pass up. I know that you all will keep me humble through the upcoming articles.

There isn’t much else to say really. I look forward to joining the rest of the great Falcoholic crew in bringing you guys some great Falcons coverage, and I’ll look to provide excellent fantasy football insight when the time comes for those drafts.

Let’s get started.
