Atlanta may need a new special teams coordinator if Armstrong gets a head coaching position.

Keith Armstrong has been coaching special teams for two decades, including for the Atlanta Falcons since 2008. He has an absurdly long resume, and has been respected across the league for years. However, he may be moving on to another spot this offseason.

Armstrong has received some head coach interest the last five years, despite only being a special teams coach. It would be an outside the box selection by the Arizona Cardinals, as most head coaches usually work on offense or defense. However, the last time a team grabbed a special teams coordinator, it was John Harbaugh.

Armstrong’s special teams in Atlanta have been spotty in recent years, but it would still be a tough loss for the Falcons.
