The Falcons haven’t faced the Bears since the 2014 season, and that’s a game — and an entire year of football -- that fans would probably just as soon forget. But Atlanta’s chance to redeem itself is just days away, and the editors here at The Falcoholic are confident the Falcons will do just that.
On paper, this game should be a win. And even though we all have a long history of being disappointed by this team when they lose games they should absolutely win, the Bears are starting Mike Glennon.
We’re a couple of days past our season opener prediction, and our editors were split right down the middle on that. Matt Chambers had a good reason for picking Kansas City.
“Kansas City, because I'll never pick the Patriots to win anything,” Chambers said.
Well played, Chambers, and also Dave Choate and Kendall Jackson. They all picked that upset.
The Buccaneers ended up with a Week 1 bye, but we picked the rest of the NFC South games. Kendall Jackson stands alone with his selection of the 49ers over the Panthers. I can’t lie, I hope Kenny is right about that one.
Only David Walker picked the Saints over the Vikings. DW, please. The rest of us feel certain that this week will be one of the Saints’ nine losses this year.
We picked the Sunday and Monday night games, too. Kenny, ever the contrarian, picked the Giants over the Cowboys. Most of us give the Broncos the edge over the Chargers, but Chambers and DW went with Los Angeles.
