Former LSU linebacker Duke Riley named starting weakside linebacker

BUCKLE THE HELL ON UP BECAUSE THIS DEFENSE HAS GOT SOME SERIOUS SPEED

NFL: Jacksonville Jaguars at Atlanta Falcons Brett Davis-USA TODAY Sports

We were pretty certain that Duke Riley was going to start at weakside linebacker after De’Vondre Campbell moved to his more natural fit at strongside. Well, now it is official. For those keeping track, middle linebacker Deion Jones blazed the 40 in 4.59 seconds. Riley had a 4.58 time. Campbell ran it also in 4.58 seconds.

That is so much speed.

D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution had the news.

This is going to be a seriously fun defense to watch. The team worked on revamping their defensive line, and depth has improved along the front seven.
