Dontari Poe makes $125,000 today if he makes weight

Atlanta’s newest defensive tackle will make more money today than most people will all year, assuming he was able to stay away from carbs.

This offseason the Atlanta Falcons signed an ultra athletic pile of goo, and agreed to pay him $500,000 if he can stay under 330 pounds. Lets put that into perspective. The next heaviest man on the roster is newly signed tackle Ty Sambrailo, who is a svelte 314 pounds. They are literally intending to pay him half a million dollars to... still be the fattest man on the team.

The weight bonuses were spread out, and this appears to be the last one. Dontari Poe may celebrate by putting a Golden Corral out of business.

I need these sorts of bonuses in my blogging contract.

While Poe was frequently used as a space eater in Kansas City, Quinn wanted him to drop weight and use his athleticism to be more disruptive. So far, Poe has hit his weight clauses, and odds are he makes this one too.
