Some of us may have forgotten that the Atlanta Falcons lost arguably their best defensive player through the last half of the 2016 season. Desmond Trufant went down with a nasty shoulder injury, and the secondary was in flux ever since.
Well thanks to Pro Football Focus, we are reminded that Trufant was a technician in coverage.

Trufant was as close to a lockdown corner as you can in today’s NFL. Robert Alford stepped up in a huge way, but expect this defense to look even better with Trufant returning to full health. Trufant gets an easy start on Sunday as he will likely be covering Kevin White.
