Projecting the Atlanta Falcons statistical performance against the Bills in Week 4

What kind of numbers will the Falcons put up against the Bills defense?

It’s projection time again, this time for the Falcons’ Week 4 matchup against the Bills. Let’s talk numbers, and once again laugh at me for last week’s predictions.

A week ago, I said that Ryan would throw just 25 passes for 240 yards and two touchdowns against an interception. As it turns out, he threw 35 times for 294 yards and two touchdowns, plus three interceptions. He’s been a hard man to predict this year, to put it mildly. I also undersold Devonta Freeman and Tevin Coleman’s rushing totals and was generally off on how many yards this team would pick up...but I was only off by two points. The Falcons should have made my predictions look embarrassingly bad, but that’s what turnovers and penalties will do for you.

I was off five points and 20 yards from what the Lions actually did on the field, but hey, Takk did get his first NFL sack! I don’t expect to nail these, but I also don’t think anyone was going to correctly predict the weirdness that unfolded against Detroit, so we’ll look to bounce back this week.

This week, I’m again predicting the Falcons will score 28 points, considering they put up 30 against a lesser defense. I’m expecting less offense from the Bills, however, and I feel a lot more confident that they won’t be able to score enough to keep things real close. Once you’ve looked mine over, I’m eager to hear yours.
