Falcons vs. Lions Week 3 channel, schedule, announcers, odds and more

The Falcons (2-0) travel to meet the Lions (2-0), who look ready to give Atlanta one hell of a game.

When the Falcons lost in London to the Lions back in 2015, it was a crushing blow, one of the two or three losses that lost Mike Smith his job. That was a pretty mediocre Lions team delivering the defeat, of course, and it bears little resemblance to the one Atlanta is about to play.

The setting and the situation couldn’t be more different. Dan Quinn and company are in no danger of losing their jobs at the moment and have this 2-0 Falcons team positioned for another terrific season. Detroit, meanwhile, is protecting Matthew Stafford and playing quality defense, which has also brought them to a 2-0 record. One of these teams is going to lose Sunday, and Detroit should give Atlanta a good battle.

The key for the Falcons will be getting pressure on Matthew Stafford, which they’ll have to do minus Vic Beasley, and fighting through a Lions D that features a terrific pass rusher in Ezekiel Ansah and an excellent set of cornerbacks. I imagine Atlanta will be up to the task, but I’m not going to be guilty of taking a 2016 playoff team that looks legitimately improved lightly.

Here’s the key information for the game ahead. Let’s all gather here Sunday to talk about it, no?
