Falcons vs. Lions odds: Atlanta’s a field goal favorite on the road

The 2-0 Lions are getting quite a bit of respect from Vegas.

The Atlanta Falcons have won their last two games by a combined 17 points, looking solid on defense and still very good on offense in the process. It’s fair to say most of us are breathing a huge sigh of relief and expecting another good season.

With the lousy Bills and so-so Dolphins approaching and sandwiched around a bye week, the toughest matchup in the next month is undoubtedly this one, the battle against the Lions. Detroit is also 2-0 and has both outscored the Falcons and allowed fewer points, albeit without having to play the Green Bay Packers.

Given that, it’s no surprise that the Falcons are only slight favorites against Detroit this weekend. Most places, they’re listed as field goal favorites, and I think the Falcons will be lucky to win this game by more than a touchdown. No great objections here, even though I’m hoping for another emphatic win.

What kind of margin of victory are you looking at?
