Yesterday, the Atlanta Falcons elected to part way with 14 players officially, bring the roster down to 73 men. With Dan Quinn telling reporters he only expected to keep two quarterbacks, you can also kiss Matt Simms goodbye, which means the Falcons have to trim 19 players in total between now and 4 p.m. today.
You’re gonna wanna know who those players are, and we’re only too happy to oblige. This is our second day tracker, where we’ll use Twitter to quickly post updates and add updates to this post if the cuts come in waves. If the Falcons dump all 19 moves on us all at once, well, you won’t really need the tracker.
I’m expecting a couple of minor surprises today, but nothing major, with Brian Hill or LaRoy Reynolds to injured reserve looming as wild cards. We’ll know soon enough, because the Falcons don’t like to waste time.
11:20 a.m.: The Falcons have predictably waived tackle Daniel Brunskill. He’s a good athlete who got a ton of run in preseason, and he (for lack of a better term) played terribly throughout. He’s got a shot to join the practice squad as a long-term project.
#Falcons waiving OT Daniel Brunskill, per source.
