The pass rush specialist went out against the Green Bay Packers in clear pain, but the team was not worried after the game.

The Atlanta Falcons put up a statement win against the presumed best team in the league, the Green Bay Packers. It feels awesome, but the team had countless starters leave due to injury. Perhaps the biggest loss last night was Vic Beasley. He got a little twisted up on a play, fell to the ground, and grabbed him hamstring. He walked off the field with a trainer and was visibly frustrated.

We hoped for good news, and early indications are the hamstring is not serious.

Hey Jim, how about let us know a little earlier so we aren’t freaking out about losing our best pass rusher. Doctors will check it out closer today, and we are waiting for Dan Quinn’s afternoon press conference to see if there is any update.

Hamstrings are always a tricky injury that can get worse if a player rushes back too soon. So even if the injury is not considered serious, he could be out multiple weeks. If Beasley is out for any serious amount of time, rookie Takkarist McKinley should get the majority of those snaps.
