Predict the final score of Falcons vs. Dolphins in Week 1 of preseason

The score doesn’t matter, but your predictions are still important. Tell yourself that.

One of our weekly traditions around here is the open prediction thread, where we ask our gentle readers to try to nail the final score of the game ahead. That feature loses a little of its luster in preseason, when the outcome of the game is less important than the individual performances within that game, but it’s still fun.

So let’s start with Week 1 of preseason, a Thursday night game that pits the Falcons against the Dolphins down in Miami Gardens. This will be an interesting matchup in the regular season, when Atlanta plays a Miami team that’s probably going to try to win, though they may need to do so without Ryan Tannehill.

I think the Dolphins, who will certainly be playing without Ryan Tannehill, will wind up struggling to get much done on offense even against the Atlanta backups. Let’s go with a final score of 20-14, Falcons, not that it’s going to keep anyone up at night if they can’t pull this one off.

What’s your prediction?
