The Atlanta Falcons are squaring off against the Miami Dolphins on Thursday night, and while you can only draw so many conclusions from preseason games, we’re bound to learn something from an actual game.
The question is what we’ll learn from this first one. The Dolphins don’t have the luxury of playing Matt Moore, their backup quarterback, for very long in case they’ve lost Ryan Tannehill and Moore needs to start. That means this offense isn’t going to be much of a challenge for Atlanta’s defense, which means we’ll quickly find out what the backups are made of, at the very least.
I’m also expecting to get a little clarity regarding the right guard battle, what young offensive linemen look like, and who looks like they belong in a crowded secondary.
How about you? Once you’ve answered, use this as your open thread for the evening.
