The Falcons have one of the deeper defensive end rotations in football today, and while they’re not all top-flight talents, this team is in a better position than they have been in many years.
As we wind our way through training camp, let’s think about who might end populating the depth chart at the position. There’s many contenders for spots, but I tend to think the final group will skew heavily veteran, with Vic Beasley and rookie Takk McKinley looking like the youngest guys there. You may have a different opinion, of course.
Here’s who I have:
- Vic Beasley
- Takkarist McKinley
- Derrick Shelby
- Brooks Reed
- Adrian Clayborn
- Courtney Upshaw
That’s a strong group, one that gives the Falcons two truly exciting pass rushers, and a group of useful, versatile players beyond that.
Let’s talk about it. Who do you have on the depth chart? Once you’ve let us know, let’s open things up for the evening and talk Falcons more generally.
