We typically try to temper expectations for rookies. It’s easy to forget that regardless of how good they were in college, it takes a lot to get up to NFL speed. In Takk McKinley’s situation, he’s coming off shoulder surgery and only started with team drills in the last 48 hours.

That was no fluke. Early reports are McKinley looks like an early contributor. From what we have seen so far in camp, he plays angry. Temper expectations, but this defensive line could be nasty this year.
