Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank is a popular guy. Falcons fans respect what he’s accomplished as the team’s owner and appreciate his dedication to the franchise’s long-term success. But Blank isn’t just an NFL owner: he’s a savvy businessman whose philanthropic endeavors are nothing short of impressive.
And now NBC Sports is airing a one hour documentary about Blank. It’s set to air at 2 PM on September 2nd, so make sure you tune in. (Credit to the AJC’s Tim Tucker for the quote.)
“When the idea for the show came about and we started to look at potential subjects across different sports, the one person we kept coming back to was Arthur Blank,” Jon Miller, president of programming for NBC Sports Group, told the AJC through a spokesman. “He wears multiple hats with wide-ranging accomplishments, greatly impacting the community, producing winners in business and on the field, and leading by example.”
Blank has lived an interesting life, navigating success, failure, and loss. It will be interesting to see him from a new perspective, particularly as they cover significant events in recent Falcons history.
