Atlanta Falcons rookie pass rusher Takk McKinley is getting his first game action against the Steelers, which makes this a noteworthy game by itself. McKinley has the upside to be a terrific player in this league, and potentially the long-term bookend to Vic Beasley. The journey begins here.
It’ll be a short little trip tonight, though, to stretch that analogy.
#Falcons coach Dan Quinn tells me Takk McKinley will prob play half dozen snaps. I say, "That's it?" He says, "Pay attention!"

As anticipated, Takk will probably only play one series in this game (I thought he might get two), which means it will be little more than an opportunity for him to get warmed up and titillate the fanbase a little bit. Given that his health is the priority in preseason, that’s perfectly okay.
We’re just a little while away from seeing him in action, though. Get ready!
