Nominate the best Falcons on offense from 1966-1970

It’s not a full decade, but they still deserve recognition.

NFL: San Diego Chargers at Atlanta Falcons Brett Davis-USA TODAY Sports

We’ve reached the end of our little series, with inarguably the weakest team we’ll put together. It was an expansion team, after all, and the Falcons only had a handful of studs in those early years. Nonetheless, we will determine the best of the best on offense, defense, and special teams for those first Falcons squads.

After we put this abbreviated decade to bed, we’re going to vote on the best of the best at every position. Nominate any choices you have, if you can remember back this far, and let’s keep this moving.

1966-1970 All-Decade Offense

Quarterback: Bob Berry

Running Back: Junior Coffey

Fullback: Cannonball Butler

Wide Receivers: Paul Flatley & Jerry Simmons

Tight End: Jim Mitchell

Tackles: Bill Sandeman & Errol Linden

Guards: Andy Maurer & Dick Enderle

Center: Jeff Van Note
