The Atlanta Falcons have had a ten day layoff after their first preseason game, but they’ll return to action Sunday afternoon against the mighty Pittsburgh Steelers. If this were a regular season game, it would be one of the most anticipated contests on the slate. Because it’s a preseason game, it just looks like a fun diversion.
As always, this is a chance for those involved in position battles and fights for roster spots to make their cases, and a chance for us to watch some quasi-real football. I’ll be curious to see how the team divvies up snaps at right guard, swing tackle, linebacker, and cornerback in particular, and to see if the first team can wreak havoc against the Steelers the way they did against Miami.
Here’s what you’ll need to know about the game ahead.
