Taylor Reynolds was one of my favorite undrafted free agents from this Atlanta Falcons 2017 class, which of course means he didn’t stick around very long at all.
The Falcons announced today that they have waived Reynolds, a James Madison product. There is no corresponding signing as of yet.
TRANSACTION: We have waived CB Taylor Reynolds.

Reynolds, who I got to watch as his James Madison team beat the crap out of my alma mater last season, is an instinctual if not extremely athletic cornerback who was always going to have a tough road to make a team loaded with options at corner. I thought he’d have a real shot at the practice squad, at the very least, but now he’s out.
The Falcons will likely still carry six cornerbacks, with Desmond Trufant, Robert Alford, Brian Poole, and Jalen Collins all locked into spots, and the likes of C.J. Goodwin, Deji Olatoye, and other UDFAs competing. We wish Reynolds luck, wherever he may land.
