It’s said, often, that there simply aren’t a lot of great quarterbacks playing today. If you look around the NFL, it’s certainly true that at least half the teams in the league are not trotting out future Hall of Famers, to understate things.
Still, there are some truly elite quarterbacks out there, and the Falcons unfortunately will draw some of those in 2017. Out of all of those, who is the best?
The thing about the Falcons in 2017 is that they’re going to face some very mediocre quarterbacks, but they’ll also draw the NFC South’s gifted trio, including future Hall of Famer Drew Brees, plus the likes of Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers. Your choices could realistically come from any of those teams, and all of those players are going to test this improving Atlanta defense.
My answer will be Rodgers, as it’s no great secret that I think he’s the best quarterback in the NFL today, even if that’s not always a popular thing to admit. Kick off some healthy debate and tell us your choice.
