If the 1981-1990 offense vote proved to be remarkably simple, the defense whipped up some genuine discussion from those of us who are old enough to remember these players.
Part of that is because I simply missed a handful of very good defenders and special teamers from this Atlanta Falcons era, and part of it is because there is no broad consensus who the best players were, especially along the defensive line. Ultimately, though, your votes will help us build the best possible lineup here, and I still think there’s a a strong defense lurking in this group.
