The Falcons are apparently going to get all of their linebackers out of either LSU or Minnesota going forward. Considering the results thus far, I think I’m fine with that.
The latest reported addition is former Minnesota linebacker Jack Lynn, who played with De’Vondre Campbell in college.
Told that ex-#Gophers LB Jack Lynn is close to signing w/ the Falcons. Took part in their recent rookie camp. pic.twitter.com/BeIQ6eB0ol

As The Falcons Wire notes, Lynn had a solid collegiate career, with 77 tackles and 6.5 tackles for loss in his senior campaign. He’s not remarkably big, physical, or fast, but he appears to be a well-rounded, capable linebacker. If he can stick with Atlanta through the summer, he might get a look on the practice squad, but nothing’s all that clear just yet. He’s at least an interesting camp body if and when he signs.
There’s no confirmation from the team yet or reports from team beat reporters, so we’ll just wait. There’s also no indication of who might be cut to make room for Lynn if this happens, so again, jeez, hold your horses.
We’ll see how quickly this comes together.
