Atlanta Falcons linebacker Vic Beasley terrorized quarterbacks last season. His 15.5 sacks in 2016 led the league. It was an impressive sophomore campaign for the pass rusher extraordinaire. (And yes, the same guy many panicked about after a understandably mediocre rookie year.)
Beasley isn’t resting on his laurels; he’s treating this offseason as the perfect opportunity to continue to get better, if that’s even possible. Part of that process apparently includes him attending a special “pass rush summit.” Von Miller is the host of the summit, which took place at Stanford University this week, and the guest list is nothing short of impressive: Shane Ray, Khalil Mack, Cliff Avril, Falcons alum Chuck Smith - the list goes on and on.
Beasley and Miller have always had a close relationship. It’s a relationship built on mutual respect. Now they’re coming together with the league’s premier pass rushers to share knowledge and get better. There’s absolutely nothing to dislike about this.
