Atlanta Falcons head coach Dan Quinn puts a premium on fast players. He’s built this roster, especially the defense, around speed. Get there and get there quickly - that’s what Quinn expects of his players.
Falcons cornerback Robert Alford got some camera time earlier today on NFL Network. He was asked about the Falcons and how they measure up in terms of their speed. And like you’d expect him to, Alford promptly threw down the gauntlet. Here’s what he had to say:
"The @AtlantaFalcons have the fastest guys in the NFL" - @rockorocky

Per Alford, the Falcons “have the fastest guys.” He’s probably not wrong and you have to love his confidence. Any GM would be hard pressed to assemble a roster quite like this one. So kudos to Thomas Dimitroff and Quinn for doing just that and kudos to Alford for his unwavering confidence.
