NFL: Super Bowl LI-New England Patriots vs Atlanta Falcons Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

The Atlanta Falcons have a roster full of talented football players. It’s nice when any of them is publicly recognized for their hard work. The NFL Top 100 is an important ranking, because NFL Network polls current players each year to assemble the list. (There are nearly 1,700 players on active rosters each season, so making the NFL Top 100 definitely means something.)

Being recognized is one thing. Being recognized as one of the best in the game by your peers is something special. That’s why we pay close attention to this particular ranking each offseason. And while you may not care, the players certainly do.

Tonight the top ten were revealed and two familiar names made the cut: Matthew Thomas Ryan (#10) and Quintorris Lopez Jones (#3). Ryan and Julio absolutely deserve this and it’s thrilling to see both of them ranked this high. For what it’s worth, Ryan wasn’t ranked at all last season. Julio was #8 last season after being #13 in 2015 and #26 in 2014. Julio was this season’s highest ranked wide receiver.

A couple other Falcons made the list: Vic Beasley came in at #40 and Devonta Freeman came in at #41. That makes four Falcons on this list - an impressive showing! If When all these guys stay healthy, the Falcons should will do some damage in 2017.
