Poe will be the domino to our defense this year

Whats up Falcholic's??!

It's been a while since I've posted on here (last year pre-season I think) I'm really excited about the defense this year as I'm sure most of you are and I'm itching for football and just thought I'd share my views and get some feedback from some fellow diehards.

I think Poe will be the difference in making our defense a top 10 (potentially top 5) defense this year. His size/speed/quickness/power will command a double team, 80% of the time, which should free up a lot of space on the dline for our pass rushers (Takk, Beasley, Jarrett, Hageman, Clayborn, and co.) to work. If the opposing defense choses to leave him one on one, I think it will end up just being a bullrush right into the QB's lap. Also I believe it will allow us to collapse opposing offensive lines from the inside position which is closest to the ball. I know a lot of coaches are probably already pulling out their hair thinking of ways to deal with Poe and Jarrett while they're on the field at the same time.

Hopefully having a monster like Poe will benefit Takk the most because we need him to emerge and develop as a viable pass rusher in a bad way. I think it will benefit our defense by not having to blitz a lot, which in theory should lead to our LB's being able to make plays closer to or behind the line of scrimmage, and allowing DL to get in the back field for more sacks and TFL's. Not blitzing will give the opposing QB 7 men to read in coverage most plays which should lead to more PDs, INT and sacks. If Poe goes down or isn't back to his pro bowl form. I think our defense will look average to above average but not stellar like it looks on paper right now.

What are you guy's thoughts on Poe's potential effect on our defense?
