We’re in the heart of the summer, a time when the Falcons are off, training camp is the next major thing on the horizon, and we’ve got about a month until we can bask in that. What’s a Falcons-loving man or woman to do?
The answer: Dip into the team’s history. We’ve been doing this almost daily with trivia, which I’ve enjoyed putting together, but this is a prime to try something more ambitious. So here’s the deal: With your help, we’re going to pull together all-decade teams for these Atlanta Falcons, from the 1960s through the 2010s. It might help us settle some debates about franchise greats down the line, and it’ll certainly be cool to have all that info in one place.
We’ll break this down by offense and defense for each decade, voting on the top nominations at multiple positions, and forget ourselves a definitive list of the best to do it in each decade of Falcons history.
Let’s start with your nominations for the best offensive Falcons of the 2010s thus far, and we’ll work our way backwards from there. Here’s mine, share yours.
