The offseason is a slow time, but after last season’s Super Bowl incident, we are still looking for some silver linings. I found one: Matt Ryan is freaking awesome.
Pro Football Focus was looking through stats, and found Ryan easily above all other quarterbacks in the league in one category.

This is interesting because Ryan starting his career relying heavily on play action. There was a long lull in there where he did not have a good run game to rely on, but he has definitely overcame the likes of late career Michael Turner and even later career Steven Jackson to balance out his game.
Where else?

Ryan loves a clean pocket. Yet another clear best in the league. If Steve Sarkisian can keep Ryan clean, the Falcons will be in for another deep playoff run.
