When the Falcons waived UDFA Darius English earlier today, we know a corresponding signing would be coming to get the team back to 90 men.
That signing turned out to be Martin Ifedi, a name that should ring some faint bells. The former Rams seventh round pick joined the Falcons’ practice squad on December 27th, signed a reserve/futures contract in February, and was waived back on April 30. It was a whirlwind tour with Atlanta, to put it mildly.

This time, Ifedi will hope to stick around longer. The team’s defensive end rotation is already deep, so there’s absolutely no chance of him making the final roster, but perhaps he can push to re-join the practice squad. Obviously, given that he was just waived a little over a month ago, I’m not super bullish on his prospects.
Welcome back, Martin Ifedi.
