For those needing a dose of sweet, sweet Falcons-related activity, mandatory minicamp comes to your rescue, starting tomorrow.

This year, Falcons rookie minicamp will run for three days, from Tuesday, June 13 to Thursday, June 15. Attendance is mandatory unless there are special circumstances or you just want to skip and get in trouble/lose money, so you should expect to see more or less every Falcon on the field at Flowery Branch.

Most importantly, Wednesday, June 14th will be open to the public. You can arrive as early as you like, but the gates won’t open until 1:05 p.m. and the festivities, such as they are, won’t kick off until 2:05. Hope some of our readers get to attend!

As for what you’ll see when you attend, it’s mostly going to be along the same lines as OTAs and early training camp practices, just without the intensity of what you might see in late July. It’ll be a great chance for you to size up the rookies who show up and check on the progress of injured Falcons like Desmond Trufant and Derrick Shelby, too.

We’re less than two months away from the first preseason game. Deep breaths. We can do this.
