The NFL is always looking for new ways to get its tentacles into every corner of America, and eventually the world. Now they’re making a deeper foray into Twitter.
The league is promising daily video on the platform, including a five-day-a-week show that might be worth watching if they get the right people involved. More importantly, it potentially means a lot more highlights on Twitter, and we all love highlights. If you’re still holding out on this Twitter thing, you might finally have a reason to change your mind, in other words.

With ESPN’s recent massive talent purge and the league’s recognition that the future of the league isn’t confined to television sets, this feels like a smart move for the league. Then again, the league isn’t in the habit of making smart moves and Twitter has supposedly been on its deathbed for about five years, so we’ll see how things shake out.
