Atlanta Falcons sign 21 undrafted free agents

As always, interesting names abound, but only one or two is likely to make the final roster.

The names have been trickling in for the last couple of days, but with undrafted free agents, you never know for sure who will be on the team until the team itself makes it official. Thankfully, we’re there.

The Falcons have signed 21 UDFAs, which brings them to the 90 man roster limit for the moment. As I’ve said before, at least one of these guys will likely make this roster, though perhaps only one given how set this Falcons team looks heading into the long camp period.

Here’s the full list, from that article (which you should click):

Boise State center Travis Averill

Robert Morris S Marcelis Branch

San Diego State offensive lineman Daniel Brunskill

Kansas State wide receiver Deante Burton

Texas Tech wide receiver Reginald Davis III

South Carolina linebacker Darius English

Southern Mississippi tackle Wil Freeman

Iowa State cornerback Jarnor Jones

Miami (OH) defensive end J’terius Jones

Portland State center Cam Keizur

Connecticut tackle Andreas Knappe

Auburn guard Robert Leff

South Alabama wide receiver Josh Magee

Georgia safety Quincy Mauger

University Texas San Antonio safety Jordan Moore

Arkansas State defensive end Chris Odom

Citadel fullback Tyler Renew

James Madison cornerback Taylor Reynolds

San Jose State linebacker Christian Tago

Penn quarterback Alek Torgersen

Pittsburg State (KS) safety Deron Washington

There’s plenty of interesting names on this list, but I’d keep a close eye on Renew (a potential option at an unsettled fullback spot), Odom (an interesting, physical defensive end), Reynolds (a genuinely talented cornerback despite the level of competition), English (FAST AND PHYSICAL!), and Knappe, a 26-year-old Danish hulk of a man who doesn’t have a lot of quality competition for the swing tackle role.

Congratulations to all of these players. Who will make the final roster?
