Takkarist McKinley calls out human trash can Clay Travis for comments about his dead grandmother

Takkarist McKinley told his grandmother on her deathbed that he would use football to better his life. Clay Travis thought it was a funny joke.

The Atlanta Falcons selected pass rusher Takkarist McKinley in the first round of the NFL draft. The UCLA prospect brought a picture of his grandmother to honor the woman who was his hero. It’s a nice feel good story after McKinley kept his promise to his grandmother to use football to improve his life. He was emotional, grateful, and thankful for the inspiration that got him to be one of the best.

Enter Clay Travis.

It looks like Travis is on Fox Sports radio, and writes about college football. I’m really only familiar with Travis for being a dollar store brand trash bag full of garbage opinions that leaks and spills over every time he needs a ratings bump. This was no different. Travis went on a twitter tirade making fun of McKinley’s photo. McKinley rightly criticized the Skip Bayless-esque Travis.

This is far from the worst thing Travis has done. It’s nuts that being an awful person can become someone’s brand. It is insane that McKinley has to be involved when he didn’t do anything wrong. Luckily there was some sanity to the world, and Travis apologized.

Just kidding.

I regret having to give this slop bucket of a person any platform, but this disgusting ratings grab involves an Atlanta player. It is surprising to see that Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio is a voice of reason here.

There’s not much else to say here, except all of us at the Falcoholic are #TeamTakkarist. I’m going to continue not listening to, following, or in any way supporting Clay Travis.
