Every year, the Falcons manage to snag one or two undrafted free agents who are worthy of making the roster. A year ago, Brian Poole legitimately excelled at as a UDFA, and to keep costs down and keep replenishing the bottom half of the roster, Atlanta needs to keep hitting. Expect them to add a raft of undrafted free agents as soon as they’re able, in other words.
If you’re looking to prime candidates, you’ll want to keep an eye on the players who are still available that Atlanta spent time with in the run-up to draft season. I highly recommend FalcFans for the most up-to-date list of that interest. Ultimately, Atlanta will have enough to bring 90 men (plus a few tryouts) into the offseason program.
We’ll add notes in here, and I’ll retweet anything interesting from our live Twitter feed. Enjoy, and let’s hope for some great UDFAs.
