The Atlanta Falcons will hear their first round pick, if they make one this evening, announce by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. He is not a universally beloved figure for Falcons fans.
Gerald Riggs and Matt Bosher will make the team’s second and third selections, respectively, and that will generate warmer and fuzzier feelings.
From earlier, former Falcons RB Gerald Riggs will announce the team's 2nd round pick in this year's draft.... https://t.co/PtSSWeb8hJ

Riggs is one of the best running backs in team history, with the most rushing yards in a Falcons uniform and top five marks in yards per carry, carries, and rushing touchdowns. He starred for the Falcons in the 80s, meaning he’ll be a fresh face for some newer fans. He will probably not be announcing a running back in the second round.
Bosher, meanwhile, is the currently terrific punter for this Falcons team, and one of the more beloved special teamers in recent memory for his ability and willingness to drill returners and, if necessary, dudes on the sideline. He will probably not be announcing a punter in the third round.
Congratulations to Riggs and Bosher, and we should see both of them tomorrow night, barring a trade.
