The Atlanta Falcons will take on the Chicago Bears in week one of the regular season. It’s going to be fun to get back to meaningful football on September 10th, roughly seven months after the Falcons ruined my life an historical collapse in the Super Bowl. Opening the season with a win would go a long way.
In case you’ve been under a rock for the past few years, the Bears ... aren’t a good football team. They paid muppet look-alike Mike Glennon way too much money this offseason to serve as a stopgap, just until they ruin whatever poor, unsuspecting quarterback with potential they draft next.
Oddsmakers quickly chimed in about the week one games. The Falcons are currently six point favorites. Only the Pittsburgh Steelers (8.5 point favorites over the Cleveland Browns) and New England Patriots (7 point favorites over the Kansas City Chiefs) are favored by a larger margin in week one.
