My selection of Derek Rivers in the SB Nation writers’ mock draft kicked off a spirited debate about whether the Falcons needed a pass rusher like Rivers or an elite guard more. It was a good debate, I thought, but one largely limited to a Forrest Lamp versus Derek Rivers discussion.
Let’s talk about a larger positional discussion: Which do you take, assuming roughly equivalent talent available, at both guard and pass rusher? The question is whether you think the team’s legitimate hole at right guard trumps the team’s legitimate need for a second pass rusher who can complement Vic Beasley. Regardless of your choice, you’re making a good selection for this football team, but I’m honestly looking to get the pulse of the fanbase here. You can fill out the attached poll to give a better idea of where you stand, as well.

Which is the bigger draft day need?
I leave you to your debate. Duke it out respectfully.
