If you could trade for one NFL player, who would it be?

Anyone. You just have to pay the price.

As we established yesterday, the Atlanta Falcons are not going to trade for Richard Sherman. The swirling talk of such a trade only confirms that NFL fans really love to think about and talk about trades, even if they love a team that hasn’t made a huge, splashy one in a few years.

So let’s think about a trade hypothetical: Who would you trade for if you could snag any player in the NFL?

Mine would be the insanely great Von Miller. The Falcons have a tremendous supporting cast on offense, so I’m not going to swap out Matt Ryan, Devonta Freeman, or Julio Jones. I would, however, like to see the Falcons get to an elite level of defense in relatively short order. Getting Miller would do that.

What would you have to give up to get him, though? Likely a package of picks that would bankrupt the team in the near term, which is why a trade like this would never happen. If you were to remove all real-world costs associated with the move, though, I’d take the 28 year old with 73.5 sacks.

How about you?
